Castledawson 0-14 Foreglen 1-8

After shipping a late goal against Limavady on Friday night, Paddy McGuckin's Castledawson bounced back with a vital win at home to Foreglen on Monday night.

The home side, with more at stake, started very brightly and with five minutes remaining in the half were 0-8 to 0-2 ahead, with Aidan Keenan and Conor Taggart  very impressive.

A missed goal chance from Odhran Mullan give Foreglen the drive to come back at Castledawson and kicked 1-3 just before half-time to go in level. Their goal came from wing-back John Duffy.

It was nip and tuck for the start of the second-half.  Kevin O’Connor pulled a goal chance just to the left. Similarly Ruairi Shivers missed at the other end, when one on one with 'keeper Burke.

It was left to Aidan Keenan two seal victory with two points, followed by a '45' from Rian Connery.
