It was an eventful Friday in the Derry club leagues, with two games down for decision.

A 57th minute point from Aaron Donaghy, saw Claudy leave Foreglen with a share of the spoils in Friday night's division 1B clash.

Foreglen led 0-8 to 0-4 after 46 minutes with Claudy needing two Kieran Reilly saves to stay in the game.

Mark McCormick was dismissed on a black card after 13 minutes and Conrad Sheerin was sent off on a second booking with six minutes to half-time.

Oran Armstrong (2) and Aaron Kerrigan had the sides level but a wonder point from Eoghan Duffy saw Foreglen two points ahead at the break.

The home side had the upper hand for much of the second-half but were unable to put Claudy away.

Paddy Hargan, Martin and Aaron Donaghy hit late points to grab a draw.

In division 2, a hat-trick from former Dungiven player and X-Factor star Eoghan Quigg, on his Doire Trasna debut, saw the Pearses defeat previously unbeaten Magilligan (4-8 to 2-7) at Lisnagelvin.

Trasna led 1-6 to 1-1 at the break.  Quigg added two goals in the third quarter but they didn't score after the 46th minute.

A James Payne goal gave the visitors hope, but Eoghan Carlin's side held on to maintain their unbeaten start.

A bereavement in Desertmartin led to the postponement of their Friday night game with Sean Dolan's.

On Thursday night two Steafan McCloskey goals saw Banagher hurlers 2-12 to 0-11 victors over Lavey in Gulladuff.

Reece McSorley (2) and Ciaran McBride found the net as Ballinascreen defeated Swatragh, while 2-4 from Odhran McKeever helped Kevin Lynch's to a facile win over Coleraine.
