Cork City have revealed that they have sold out the capacity of 6,900 for tonight’s Champions League clash with Legia Warsaw at Turner’s Cross.

The League of Ireland champions, who have charged €20 for a match ticket, have benefitted from a strong marketing campaign ahead of the game, including an ‘Early Bird’ option, which gave season ticket holders the option of paying just €15 if they bought their ticket early.

Meanwhile in Derry, it remains to be seen just how many fans will attend Thursday’s Europa League clash with Dinamo Minsk at the Brandywell after weeks of controversy over the pricing structure of tickets.

Supporters of Cork, Dundalk, and Shamrock Rovers will all pay less to watch their sides at home in European games in the coming days.

Fans of the Candy Stripes are being asked to pay £25 for a ticket to see City in action in their Europa League first round qualifying game, while a limited number of concessionary tickets are available at £20.

By contrast, Shamrock Rovers are charging just €15 (£13.27) for adult stand seats for their Europa League qualifying game against Swedish side AIK in Dublin on the same night while children can get in for just £5 (£4.42). OAPS and students will pay €10 (£8.85).

Dundalk are at home to FC Levadia Tallin of Estonia on Thursday week, July 19th. The main stand tickets at Oriel Park for adults are €20 (£17.70) or €15 (£13.27) for OAPs/Students. General admission for the rest of the ground is €15 (£13.27) for adults and €10 (£8.85) for OAPs/Students. And it is just €5 (£4.42) for under-12s.

Cork City, who are playing in the first round qualifiers of the Champions League, face Legia Warsaw of Poland at Turner’s Cross tomorrow, Tuesday. They are charging €20 (£17.70) for adults, €15 (£13.27)  for students and €10 (£8.85) for under-12s and OAPs.
