ARDGLASS stand in the way of Oxford’s progression onto the next round of the Intermediate Cup this weekend when the Co Down side travel to the Swilly Stadium to face an in form and free scoring Oxford team.
Paul Roddy’s side have defeated both Glebe Rangers and Donard Hospital so far in the competition beating Donard 2-1 back at the beginning of November and hammering Glebe 4-0 in the second round last month.
That 4-0 win against Glebe has added to Oxford’s impressive goal scoring exploits of late having scored a total of 18 goals in their last five games with three 4-0 wins coming in those five matches.
Ardglass meanwhile currently sit eighth in the Northern Amateur Football League with two wins in their last five games coming against fellow league sides Killyleagh and Dromora Village. Like Oxford, Ardglass have also come across Glebe Rangers in the Irish Cup fourth round where they lost 3-2.
Oxford will certainly fancy their chances of progression here, especially on the back of last week’s demolition of Roe Rovers at the Brandywell.
