Derry City target Darren McCauley has today decided his future - and it won't be at the Brandywell.

The former Candy Stripes winger has joined ex-City boss John Robertson in Scotland, signing a two-and-a-half year deal with Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The midfielder – who was offered a new deal to remain at Coleraine – made the move for a nominal fee, subject to international clearance.

In total, the former Top of the Hill Celtic made 176 appearances, scoring 45 times during his two spells on the Ballycastle Road.

He was one of Derry boss Declan Devine's top targets, but yesterday the manager resigned himself to missing out on the winger ahead of today's news.
