Aaron McEneff and Dean Jarvis have signed new contracts at Derry City today.

Defender Jarvis will remain at the Brandywell until at least the end of the 2017 season, while midfielder McEneff has signed a two year extension.

“It’s good to get the contract signed and now I can concentrate on playing,” McEneff said.

“It is a big commitment but it’s one I’m happy to make and Dean has signed a new contract as well. We have got good players at the club and we have had a good season so far and hopefully we can finish it off well.”

Jarvis meanwhile is happy to get his future sorted for at least one more season.

“To be fair this has been my best season so far and I’m just delighted to get something sorted quickly, because the last few times it has been dragged onto January, so like Aaron I’m happy it’s now sorted,” admitted the defender.

“It’s Kenny’s (Shiels) first season in and it was always going to be a two or three year plan to get where we want to be and a few of the boys have signed new deals, so we are planning for the future.

“We have some top quality young players coming through like young (Conor) McDermott, so the future is looking bright.”
