Derry athlete John-Paul Williamson put in an impressive performance in the 1500 metres at the world renowned NAIA Track & Field Championships in America at the weekend.
Representing Lindsey Wilson University, the City of Derry Spartan (pictured) enhanced his growing reputation with a time of 4.04.43 to finish in 11th place in the event held at the Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium in Gulf Shores, Alamba.
The race was won by Concordia's Matthew Clowes in 4:00.11.
