Roddy Collins' Derry City revolution will shift into fifth gear this month as the Brandywell club look to make the most of the January transfer window.

With the arrival of Danny Ventre last week, the new City boss brought his signings tally to four but now he is looking to really make his mark on his squad.

With French Guiananese international centre back, Marvin Torvic, on his way to the Lone Moor Road to trial with the club when they begin pre-season training this Wednesday coming, Collins confirmed that there is also vested interest in a Crystal Palace youngster who could link up with the Candy Stripes on a loan move.

"I got a phone call yesterday and it was Palace looking to see if I would be interested in taking this player on loan," Collins spoke with  "I'm always looking for players.  This particular player is a left winger but he can play through the middle as well so we're looking at the situation.
"People over there know me.  I can walk into any club over there and talk to people.  I played over there and I've managed over there and I've always kept in contact.  It gives me options.  I've dealt with clubs before so they know they can trust me if they are looking to send a player out."
