Former Derry and Limavady GAA star Callum Brown scored a goal on his debut for GWS Giants on Saturday.
Brown signed for the Sydney based club on a two year rookie contract.
The Limavady native kicked a goal during his side’s 29 point defeat to city rivals Sydney Swans in NEAFL clash, a competition for reserve players who are developing their game.
Brown took three marks, including one 35 metres out from goal in the third quarter.
With one of his first kicks in Australian Rules Football, the 19-year-old kicked truly, sparking celebrations from his AFL-listed teammates on the sidelines.
Brown is one of three Derry players 'down under'. Swatragh's Anton Tohill joined Collingwood this season.
Former Derry minor captain Conor Glass is in the second year of a two year professional contract with Hawthorn. He has played 10 games for the first team.
