"Sweet Jesus, we are over the moon for him" - proud Donegal dad says as Derry defender moves in €4m soccer deal

Republic of Ireland defender Shane Duffy has moved from Blackburn Rovers to Brighton and Hove Albion in a deal thought to be worth in excess of £4 million.
Duffy, from Derry, joined Rovers from Everton in August 2014.
He has signed a four-year deal at the Amex Stadium.
Commenting on the news Shane's father Brian, who hails from Letterkenny, posted the following message on facebook: "The deal has just been done. Thank God. Four year deal with a option of one extra year should Shane want it. £4.2 million. Sweet Jesus we are over the moon for him. It's been a crazy few weeks but it's time to move on. Just a wee thought for the fickle Blackburn rovers fans. HAVE A GREAT DAY. Whoop whoop. Come on the seagulls. Live on sky sports tomorrow at 5.30. Bring it on."
Duffy made 69 appearances for Rovers, scoring seven goals, including last season’s Goal of the Season winner for his strike at Brentford.
This is how Brighton - now managed by former Republic of Ireland international Chris Hughton, broke the news to their fans on their website.
