PATSY Bradley has been ruled out Derry’s Ulster Senior Football Championship opener after failing to recover from a litany of bumps and bruises picked up during an exhausting club season with Slaughtneil.
On top of that, Fergal Doherty remains a doubt and one of the potential replacements, Emmet Bradley, will not recover in time to feature either having begun his rehab from injury last week.
With PJ McCloskey still on the sidelines, it leaves Derry facing the potential of heading in to face Jim McCorry’s side with a threadbare midfield.
