Derry's two senior Intermediate League teams will be hoping for big weekends ahead with each in desperate need of a win for different reasons.
Trojans will look to build on a fantastic last minute win over Ardstraw with three points against a struggling Dungiven team.
Paul Higgins’ side responded well from defeat against Armagh City in the Irish Cup to pick up a draw away to Strabane Athletic followed by that 2-1 win over Ardstraw at Oakland Park on Saturday.
That victory put the Blues one point behind league leaders Portstewart, who are unbeaten in the league, and will give Higgins’ team belief again as they keep their eyes set on the title.
Captain Brian McClean missed the Ardstraw game and with Robbie Godfrey getting in behind the defence to score the opening goal in that game, the manager will be keen to welcome the centre half back.
Jake Morrow scored the goal that won the game and the teenager should lead the line again when the team make the trip up the Glenshane.
One major issue for Higgins is discipline with striker Darren McFadden seeing red both figuratively and literally in that Ardstraw game after a bust-up in the middle of the field.
For Oxford it has been a mediocre start to the season having won three of their eight games.
While they currently sit in fifth position in the table, United could slip to seventh if the teams below them win their games in hand.
Having picked up five points from a possible fifteen in the league in the run up to this game, a win would go a long way to easing fears of slipping further towards the bottom of the table.
It won’t be an easy task for the Derry side as they welcome title challengers Ardstraw who will be keen to pick themselves up after defeat to Trojans.
David McGarrigle has been generally reliable between the sticks for the Blues and he will need to be on guard again against a Newtonstewart team with plenty to offer in attack.
Brian Rainey is a key player for Oxford and he will have his work cut out for him on Saturday against a pacy Ardstraw front line. The defensive midfielder is always industrious for his team and he can expect to play most of the game in his own half this weekend.
David Healy and Seamus Cusack are the main goal threats for United and they need to take their chances against a visiting back four that aren’t known for giving away too many opportunities.
