Premier Division

Clifton Villa v Brandywell Celtic (Lisnagelvin No 2)

A win for Clifton Villa would take them three points clear at the top of the table, but it won’t be easy against a dogged and determined Brandywell Celtic side.

When the two met in the Gilfillan Cup final, it was Brandywell who came out on top but Villa won’t be in the mood to let that happen again.

It’s a battle of the dangermen as Matt Harkin and Gearoid McDermott take on Darren Harkin and James Boyd.

Prediction: Nothing to choose but plenty of goals.

Hatmore Harps v Westbank United (Clooney Park West)

Westbank may have felt they have thrown their opportunity at a title shot away but with Creggan not playing and Villa in a tough game they could make some ground.

Sean O’Connell, Cormac Carlin and Marc Mukendi are the players they will be keeping an eye on but with Gary Collette and Kevin Barr on their side, United may feel the game is theirs for the taking.

Prediction: Westbank have it in the Hat.

Bentley v Strabane Athletic (Prehen No 6)

Neither of these teams have performed particularly well this season, but Strabane will see it as a golden chance for their fifth win.

Joe Breslin will be eager to hit the net for the second game in a row for Athletic, while the main thing that Bentley have going for them is that they didn’t play last week and should be fresh.

Prediction: Strabane to nick it.

Sion Swifts v Du Pont (Strabane)

This is another basement clash with two teams who are comfortable enough when it comes to relegation, but certainly not out of the battle.

Du Pont are the team more in need of victory, but with some of the hammerings they have taken recently confidence is low.

Luke Henley scored a brace last week and will see a chance for more goals.

Prediction: One point apiece.

ChampionshipTrojans v City Colts (Lisnagelvin No 4)

City Colts still have the upper hand in the race for the title and promotion but they gave some ground to Maiden City with a draw at the weekend.

They showed good character to come back from one down against Tamnaherin Celtic and we will need the same spirit this weekend.

Trojans will be keen to finish the season strongly and a scalp here could kick start that.

Prediction: Three for Colts.

Ballymoor v Phoenix Athletic Colts (Templemore Central)

There is a bit of mini battle going on mid table, with O’Sullivans leading the way in front of these two.

Neither of them had the opportunity to play last week due to unplayable pitches and they will be keen to get out of the blocks fast.

Ballymoor have a young team but Phoenix are susceptible at the back and could be punished.

Prediction: Honours even in closely run affair.

O'Sullivan’s v Artigarvan (St Columb’s No 2)

Four points from sixteen games is a very poor record from Artigarvan’s point of view and they need to pick up their form fast.

O’Sullivan’s have struggled to find consistency and will be disappointed to have narrowly lost out to Newton Heath last Saturday.

This is the perfect chance for them to respond and Ciaran Concannon will have an eye on some goals.

Prediction: O’Sullivan’s pile on misery.
