Derry City FC are taking on Shelbourne tonight in the final game of their three friendlies in three days in Dublin.

City manager Kenny Shiels admitted his squad were tired after a punishing few days.

"We’ll struggle tonight because we’re really understrength considerably and it is the strongest of the three opponents.

"Shels have beaten Pat’s and they have beaten Bohs. But we’re not worried about the result, as long as we get a game out of it.

"Ryan and a few of the boys have done a lot of hard work so need rested. We’ll get some fitness out of it and that’s really what it’s all about."

Next game for Derry is the Billy Kee Memorial Cup against Institute at the Riverside Stadium next Wednesday.
