Former Derry City captain Barry Molloy is set to be recalled to the Finn Harps line-up as Ollie Horgan’s side aim to end a losing streak of eight games against St Patrick’s Athletic at Finn Park tonight (kick off 8.00pm).

Harps haven’t scored in 741 minutes of league action - and that’s excluding over 20 minutes of the abandoned game against Sligo.

As a result, the Ballybofey side are in danger of dropping into the relegation play-off spot.

“We have to try and turn things around and we now have a home game St. Pat’s but it’s going to be very tough,” Horgan said..

Horgan has tinkered around with his selection and formation in recent weeks, but to no avail.

And he may now be tempted to call up last season’s promotion clinching goalscorer BJ Banda.

The teenager has sampled only five minutes of first team action this season but Horgan may have to use his “wild card” in the remaining games if Harps are to survive in the top flight.

Horgan may recall former Derry City midfielder Barry Molloy and the always energetic Michael Funston.
