Susan Spence, City of Derry Rugby Club has been named runner-up in the SONI Community Rugby Champions Awards 2017.

The awards, which recognise and reward volunteers who work tirelessly for their local rugby club, were presented at the Ulster Rugby Awards which took place on Saturday 6th May. As part of the initiative Susan received a  £500 bursary for her club.

Robin McCormick, General Manager, SONI, said: “Susan has selflessly dedicated so much of her free time to support community rugby benefitting not only City of Derry Rugby Club but the local community. SONI (System Operator Northern Ireland) is very proud to be the driving force behind this initiative in partnership with Ulster Rugby.”
