A 26-year-old woman was charged with excess alcohol after a detection at Strand Road in Derry shortly after midnight on Friday.

Officers found the woman had a four-year-old child in the rear of the car.

And an 18-year-old man was charged with excess alcohol and several other motoring offences following a detection at Strand Road later on Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, a 61-year-old woman was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol following an incident at Hollyhall Road shortly after midnight on Sunday.

All three will appear in court next month.

Meanwhile, police made a number of arrests for alleged drugs offences in Derry over the Easter weekend.

A 23-year-old man has been charged to court with possessing a Class B drug and assaulting police after a house search in Shantallow on Saturday.

And a 39-year-old woman and a 23 year-old woman were arrested for possessing drugs in incidents in the Edenballymore area on Saturday and Sunday.

One is also charged with possessing an offensive weapon.Both were bailed pending further enquiries.

Meanwhile, an 18-year-old man is to be reported to the PPS for alleged possession of a Class B drugs at Lone Moor Road on Sunday and cash and a mobile phone were seized when police stopped a car at William Street on Friday.
