Rathmullan Makers Market returns to Derry for special cross-border Christmas showcase

The Rathmullan Makers Market is back in Derry for a second time this year, bringing a vibrant showcase of art, craft, and community spirit to the UV Arts C.I.C gallery space just in time for Christmas.

The "Connecting Creativity Art & Craft Exhibition" features a collective of approximately twenty talented artists and crafters from both County Donegal and Derry. They will be taking over the Garden of Reflection Gallery at UV Arts C.I.C, 16 Bishop Street, Derry until Sunday, December 21 2025.

The Rathmullan Makers Market began in December 2023 as a grassroots initiative and quickly tapped into the region's vibrant artistic community. The regular seasonal markets have now become a staple event, spreading interest across both Donegal and Derry.

Following the success of their last exhibition in September, the collective returns with a diverse range of unique, handmade wares, inviting visitors to browse for one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts and be inspired by the local craftsmanship.

In addition to the showcase and sale, the collective is offering a series of workshops facilitated by the makers themselves, designed to share skills and inspire the public. Details on the upcoming workshops can be found on the Rathmullan Makers Market Facebook page.

The public is invited to "Meet the Makers" at a special reception event this Sunday, December 14, at 5.00pm.

The exhibition and sale run daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm until Sunday, December 21, 2025.

The "Connecting Creativity Art & Craft Exhibition" has been supported through the Connecting Communities project and organised by lead-partner, Rathmullan the Way Forward.
