Time is running out to secure tickets for Allegri’s highly anticipated Christmas event, 'The Nutcracker & Other Christmas Classics', which returns to Derry's Guildhall on Sunday, December 21, with two performances at 2.00pm and 6.00pm.
Closing out another year in style, the acclaimed local organisation will present a festive experience that brings Christmas to life through music, storytelling and dance - an ideal outing for families, concert-goers and anyone hoping to soak up the season’s atmosphere.
With just two weeks to go, demand is high and remaining tickets are limited. They can be purchased online via eventbrite.co.uk/allegri or in person at the Guildhall reception.
This year’s concert features an abridged and beautifully staged version of 'The Nutcracker', complete with Tchaikovsky’s iconic score performed by Orchestra Northwest, expressive ballet from the dancers of the Rainbow School of Dance and live narration.
Allegri’s family of choirs will provide the familiar choral glow that audiences return for each year, with the orchestra performing a selection of well-loved festive classics.
Musical Director Maurice Kelly remarked, “There’s a special magic in the Guildhall at this time of year. We can’t wait to gather audiences again for a celebration that brings the music, wonder and warmth of Christmas to life.”
With the festive season in full swing, come and experience a joyful escape into the heart of the season.
