Rising singer-songwriter Cora Harkin is set to release her sixth single, Record’s Over, on June 29 across all major streaming platforms.

The 17-year-old artist from Derry delivers a reflective and emotionally resonant track exploring the inevitability of change and the courage it takes to face new beginnings.

Using the metaphor of a vinyl record spinning to its final note, Record’s Over captures the bittersweet beauty of endings and the quiet hope that lies beyond them. The track showcases Cora’s gift for vivid storytelling and heartfelt vocals, reinforcing her growing reputation as one of Ireland’s most promising young talents.

“I wrote this song thinking about the moments when something comes to a natural end — a friendship, a phase of life, even a dream — and you have to decide what comes next,” says Cora. “The image of a record playing out helped me say what I couldn’t find the words for otherwise.”

Cora’s thoughtful songwriting and mature artistry have been turning heads since her debut. With five acclaimed singles already to her name, Record’s Over continues to showcase her evolving sound and lyrical depth.

Fans can catch Cora live at the Stendhal Festival in July, where she’ll perform on the Nerve Centre Stage, and again later in the year as she joins Irish music legends Hothouse Flowers as a special guest on the Derry leg of their 40th Anniversary Tour.

‘Record’s Over’ is available to stream and download from June 29 on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major platforms.
