TROJANS 3, STRABANE 1
Derry side Trojans came from behind to defeat Strabane Athletic in the Intermediate League’s League Cup Final played at Newbuildings this afternoon.
John Roulston fired the Co Tyrone side into the lead within the first minute.
Emmet Friel deservedly brought Trojans level in the first minute of first half injury time.
Darren McFadden put the Creggan side in the lead with a brilliant 25 yard free kick in the 67th minute.
He wrapped the game up with his second, and Trojans third, two minutes later.
The win keeps Trojans on course for possible treble.
They remain in contention for the league title and face Oxford in the Cup final at Brandywell on Tuesday night week.
