Police in Derry have issued a scam warning after a woman was conned out of £4,600 in 24 hours by rogue traders.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "As part of the ScamwsieNI Partnership, today we are launching ‘Mary’s Story’.
"Unfortunately Mary has been a victim of rogue traders and gave a total of £4,600 in 24 hours.
"At this time of the year, people may call to your door selling goods or services.
"Be aware of rogue traders as they have no intention of doing a good job. Everyone can be a victim of a rogue trader.
"Watch Mary’s story and always be scamwise."
