The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council welcomed thousands of visitors to Strabane this weekend for another hugely successful Strabane Summer Jamm Festival.

Visitors enjoyed a packed programmed of live entertainment, family activities, local food, artisan crafts and community celebrations. From interactive children’s entertainment, face painting and arts and crafts to the popular Kidz Farm, Artisan Homegrown Market and Bear Run 74 Car Show, there was something for all ages to enjoy throughout the day. Castle Street and Castle Place were alive with music, while local performers, community groups, businesses and organisations helped create a vibrant festival atmosphere across the town centre.

The festival also showcased the very best of local talent, with dance, drama and musical performances taking place throughout the day, before the celebrations continued into the evening with live entertainment across Strabane’s bars and venues.

Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Grace Uí Niallais, said she was delighted to see crowds of people enjoying the fantastic festival.

“Once again, Strabane Summer Jamm proved to be a fantastic celebration of Strabane town, bringing together residents and visitors for a day filled with music, fun and community spirit. It was wonderful to see the town centre buzzing with activity and to witness the support shown for our local businesses, performers and organisations. Thank you to everyone who attended, performed, traded and helped make the event such a tremendous success.”
