An exhibition celebrating a double milestone in local history has officially opened at Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin on Great James Street.
The unique showcase marks the centenary of Comhaltas Uladh, the Ulster provincial council of the Gaelic League, alongside the 75th anniversary of Éamon de Valera’s historic visit to Derry.
Bringing together rare archival material and local memories, the exhibition offers a captivating look back at a century of Irish language activism and the profound cultural impact of De Valera’s landmark 1951 visit.
Hosted inside Derry’s premier Irish language and cultural hub, the event stands as a powerful testament to the city's enduring dedication to preserving its rich heritage and language traditions.
