Primary 3 pupils from Derry’s Oakgrove Integrated Primary School and Nursery delighted audiences during last Friday’s Harvest Service of Thanksgiving at Ebrington Presbyterian Church with their wonderful performance of ‘The Little Red Hen.’
The children showcased their confidence, enthusiasm and talents, bringing the much-loved story to life. Parents, teachers and staff were incredibly proud of their hard work and fantastic performance.
The annual Harvest Service provides an opportunity for the school's pupils to reflect on the importance of food, appreciate the journey from farm to table and give thanks for all that we have.
Speaking after Friday’s event, Principal, Ms. Ashley Smyth said: ‘What a wonderful celebration at our Annual Harvest Service today in Ebrington Presbyterian Church. The Primary 3 children did us all proud and it was wonderful to see so many parents, grandparents and carers show their full support.
“A massive thank you to our staff for their superb work in putting on such a fantastic performance of ‘The Little Red Hen.’ A big thank you also to the church for their help as well and to Rev. Paul Linkens for playing an important part in the event. Well done to everyone.’
