VIDEO: A sneak peek at Altnagelvin's Radiotherapy Unit
This “fly through” video shows what the new Radiotherapy Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry will look like when construction is completed next year.
It highlights areas such as the the entrance to the unit, outpatient and clinical areas and the Inpatient Ward.
Costing over £50 million, the Unit will provide patient-centred cancer services to people from the Derry/Strabane, Causeway Coast and Glens and Omagh/Fermanagh council areas – approximately 427,000 people..
It will also care for patients coming from the north to mid regions of Donegal, which has a population in the region of 110,000.
It is envisaged the Unit will be finished in summer of next year and will open in autumn.
