Derry SDLP councillor Sean Carr has revealed that he has been summoned by party bosses to appear at a disciplinary hearing.

However, the veteran Derry City Council representative said he will not be attending the hearing which is scheduled to take place in Belfast tomorrow.

He said that he had been told that if he does not attend the meeting, he will be suspended from the party.

It is the latest in a series of controversies involving Cllr Carr’s family and the SDLP.

In a post on his Facebook page over the weekend, Sean Carr (pictured above with his son Jimmy, a former SDLP councillor in Derry) wrote: “I think the sdlp have won can't live with the pressure on my family they want my head now.”
