Here's the first view from the top of Derry's Giant Wheel.

The wheel has been erected at Ebrington Square and will offer stunning views of the city.

Members of Foyle Search and Rescue had a special preview go on the wheel this morning.

The ‘Legenderry Eye’ will stand at around 140 feet.

It will open to the public at 6pm this evening nd will remain at Ebrington until the following Sunday.

The wheel proved to be massive tourist attraction when it took pride of place at Leicester Square in during the last year’s Christmas celebrations in London, and is set to dominate the Derry skyline during its stay in the city, as the structure is also spectacularly illuminated at night.

The ‘Legenderry Eye’ is being brought to the city by Cullen’s in association with M&D, with a spokesperson for Cullen’s promising visitors to Ebrington over Easter a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience.

The Giant Wheel will be open from 2pm – 10pm daily.
