Ten jobs are to be created with the opening of a new brewery in Ebrington.
The Walled City Brewery will be based at Building 70 at Ebrington Square.
The brewery, under the management of local man James Huey, will produce quality beer at the site.
The urban regeneration company Ilex has said the new business will open in February 2015 and create ten new jobs – six full-time and four part-time.
Commenting, James, who has 12 years’ experience working in premium breweries in Ireland, said: “The Walled City Brewery is perfectly aligned with Ilex’s plan of developing Ebrington into a world class cultural and innovation hub.
“The brewery will craft premium quality, flavoursome, innovative beers, and build on the thrilling craft beer revolution that is currently sweeping the UK and Ireland.”
Meanwhile, Ilex’s Business Manager, Niall McGurk said: “Visitors to the brewery will get a guided tour, see the brewing process at first hand, and have the opportunity to taste and purchase the products on site."
