A taxi driver and his passenger have been assaulted in Derry.
Appealing for information, Constable Tracy Flynn said that at about 4am yesterday, the taxi was stopped at Beechwood Avenue by a group of men.
The driver and passenger were assaulted by one of the group.
The assailant is described as being about 6ft tall and was wearing a grey tracksuit.
The driver sustained facial injuries and damage was caused to his car.
