If you're struggling to get to sleep during the night because of the hot weather, you're not alone.
You might enjoy the sun during the day but it presents a whole other set of problems at night.
Speaking to the BBC, weather expert Philip Eden recommended a technique that is commonly used in Mediterranean countries to keep cool at night.
"I make sure all the curtains are closed during the daytime to stop the sun coming in," he said.
"I have the windows open on the shady side and closed on the sunny side. It means running round the house halfway through the day to close one side and open the other."
An hour before he goes to bed, he opens all the windows of his house to create a good breeze while he's in bed.
With the hot weather set to return in the northwest from Wednesday, that tip should come in handy!
