Derry dominate AIB awards as two Oak Leafers scoop Ulster player of the year titles

Gareth McKinless has been awarded the AIB sponsored Ulster club player of the year award.

The Ballinderry defender put in a string of impressive showings for the Shamrocks en route to their first provincial title since 2001 and, having shackled Michael Murphy in the final, scooped the #TheToughest accolade.

There was also success for Derry camóg Meabh McGoldrick.  The Eoghan Rua half back was selected as the best in Ulster after an unprecedented run to the provincial title making it two from three for the northern province.
