Rugby: ‘Crunch time for City of Derry in push for promotion

It’s do or die time for City of Derry at Judge’s Road this afternoon. Terry McMaster’s team welcome third placed Sunday’s Well in a crunch All-Ireland League Division 2A/2B promotion play-off semi-final (kick-off 2.30m). Should the home side win,, they will meet either Skerries or Greystones in thevplay-off final with the prize a place in Division 2A next season. Derry brought their five game beaten run to an end last time out when they defeated MU Barnhall 24-7 at Judges Road and will be hoping that win will give the confidence that saw them, at one stage, red hot favourites to lift the title. The sides have met twice already, each recording away wins. Prop Rory Squires misses the game with a broken cheekbone.
