Ulster U21 HFC Final: Derry aiming to end eight year wait against Antrim

Derry travel to Loughgeil Shamrocks in Co Antrim tonight to play Antrim in the final of the Ulster Under-21 Hurling Championship (throw-in 7.15pm). Slaughtneil duo Cormac O’Doherty and captain Mark McGuigan are expected to spearhead an Oak Leaf attack along with senior squad members Thomas Magee (Eoghan Rua) and Deaglan Foley (Na Magha). Derry defeated Armagh in Crossmaglen last week to reach tonight’s showpiece which is a repeat of last year’s final which the Saffrons won after a thrilling encounter. Derry last won the title in 2008 – it has been won every year since then by Antrim
