It's set to be a bit of a mixed bag weather wise this week, with both showers and sunny spells.

We're facing thundery downpours in our part of the country today, although other parts of Ireland are enjoying temperatures of 20C along with dry weather.

The scattered showers will continue overnight and into Tuesday, with a real possibility of thunder, according to Met Éireann.

On Wednesday it will be windy, particularly in coastal areas. There will be a mix of scattered showers and some heavier downpours.

However, the weather will dry up later in the day and bring with it some brighter spells.

Expect mild and humid temperatures of 17C to 20C.

There will be a few showers again on Thursday but there will also be some nice sunshine that evening, although it won't be as good in the northwest as it is in the rest of the country.

Showers will continue into Friday, with mostly steady rain throughout the day, along with west to northwest winds.
