LEINSTER'S Jimmy O'Brien is set for a period on the sidelines after Leo Cullen's latest squad update.
The versatile back picked up a neck injury and will be unavailable for a number of months and is among seven other Leinster players that are unavailable for selection ahead of their Investec Champions Cup Pool four match against Stade Francais in Aviva Stadium this Saturday.
Among the other players injured for the province include Martin Moloney (bicep injury), Alex Soroka (foot injury), Charlie Ngatai (calf), Cormac Foley (shoulder), Ross Byrne (arm) and Jamie Osborne (shoulder).
James Ryan was withdrawn before the game against Ulster Rugby as a precaution and will be further assessed this week before a final decision is made on selection.
Their Champions Cup game on Saturday kick-offs at 5:30pm and will be shown live on RTÉ 2 and TNT sports.
