One of the main roads into Derry has been closed because of a security alert.
Police have advised motorists that the Letterkenny Road in Derry has been closed at its junction with the Lonemoor Road and the Mullenan Road.
The Braehead Road has also been closed at its junction with the Letterkenny Road and the Crevagh Road due to an ongoing police operation.
A police spokesperson said that HGVs are being diverted towards Queens Quay from the lower deck of the Craigavon Bridge.
“Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes,” the spokesperson added.
