Several Derry-based public servants are among those recognised in the Queen’s birthday honours list.

Jennifer Marshall, principal of Belmont Nursery School in Pennyburn, is set to be initiated into the order of chivalry for services to education in Derry.

Robin Young is the chair of Foyle College Board of Governors and a governor at Ebrington Primary School and was also named for services to education.

Alan Corry-Finn and Anne Love will also be recognised for their services to nursing.

Mr Corry-Finn is the Vice President of Trustees at the Northern Ireland Hospice. He is currently Director of Nursing, Primary Care and Older People in the Western Health and Social Care Trust.

Mrs Love will receive an MBE for her services to nursing in Northern Ireland. She is currently based in Altnagelvin as a volunteer manager at the Western Health and Social Care Trust.
