The PSNI are currently searching for the owner of a dog found in Derry in the early hours of this morning.

The dog was found on the Skeoge Road in Derry at 2.30am.

"It had come from the direction of Ballymagroarty," said Sergeant Brown.

"It is currently being looked after at Strand Rd police station, but the dog warden will be coming to collect it about 9am.

"Call police on 101 and ask for Strand Rd police station if before 9am and call the dog warden if after 9am."
