THE PSNI in Derry have issued an appeal for information after a motorist reversed into a woman on a mobility scooter in a local car park.
The incident happened in the car park of the B&M Bargains store at the Strand Road shortly after 1pm on Thursday June 5, when a silver Volkswagen Passat reversed into the woman.
Although the woman was not hurt, the scooter was tipped over and badly damaged.
The woman driving the car got out and spoke briefly to the woman on the scooter, but then drove away without providing her details.
Anyone who was in the area and saw what happened is asked to call police at Strand Road on the 101 non-emergency number, quoting the reference number 547 05/06/14.
