Police in Derry have confirmed they are treating an incident of criminal damage at a flat in the Fountain Estate as a hate crime.

A window was smashed at the flat in the estate, pictured above, sometime between Monday, July 7 and Sunday, July 13. 

Police are treating the incident as being motivated by hate and are appealing for anyone with any information to contact officers in Strand Road on the non emergency number 101. 

Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
