A popular golf and travel TV series, Golfing the World, showcased the walled city of Derry and Donegal to golfers across the United States last weekend.
A special episode called Golfing the World: Derry City – supported by Tourism Ireland – aired to millions of viewers on NBC Sports Boston.
Viewers saw the show’s presenter Hannah Leiner playing some of our top golf courses, including Royal Portrush.
She enjoyed a guided tour of Derry and experienced the sights and sounds of the City of Derry Jazz Festival. Using the city as a base, Hannah Leiner also visited some golf courses in Donegal, including North West Golf Club in Buncrana, Portsalon and Ballyliffin.
Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, said: “We were delighted to welcome presenter Hannah Leiner and the ‘Golfing the World’ crew to Northern Ireland and to support this new episode focusing on Derry as an ideal base to explore the Causeway Coast and Donegal.
"It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase our world-class golf and our tourism offering to millions of potential golf holidaymakers in the United States.
