Petrol bombs were thrown during disturbances in Derry last night.
Stones were also thrown and bins burnt during the trouble around the Lecky Road flyover.
Sinn Féin Councillor Patricia Logue condemned those involved in the trouble.
“It is local people who were suffering and lives being disrupted by these senseless incidents and they only heighten tension in and around the greater Bishop Street/Fountain areas and that is something no one wants.
"There can be no rolling back the clock on this, or allowing these recent incidents to fester.
"Sectarianism, from whatever quarter it comes from  is wrong and Sinn Féin has been consistent in condemning it across the board."
