People Before Profit holding election rally for Westminster candidate Shaun Harkin in Derry tonight

People Before Profit are holding an election rally for Westminster candidate Shaun Harkin in Derry tonight.

The rally will take place at The Playhouse from 7pm.

The speakers will be candidate Shaun Harkin, former Foyle MLA Eamonn McCann and Dublin People Before Profit Councillor Madeline Johansson.

A People Before Profit spokesperson said: "We are standing to offer a radical alternative to establishment nationalism and unionism in this election. If elected we will vote with Jeremy Corbyn to end the rigged economy in favour of the super-rich and corporations, to end austerity and to stop Theresa May's Tory Brexit.

"We are for a Socialist Ireland with a fully funded public health service, the full separation of Church and State, and living wages not poverty wages.

"A Socialist Ireland will have no borders, hard or soft.

"We are for Equal Marriage and are proudly pro-choice. Women must have equal rights North and South.

"People Power can overcome our divisions and deliver fundamental change."
