One person taken to hospital following incident in Dungiven

One person has been taken to hospital following an incident which saw the Air Ambulance attend in Dungiven earlier this morning.

It is believed that a person was injured in the incident at commercial premises in the Hass Road area of the town.

A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Air Ambulance stated: “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 09:07 on Tuesday, 28th July, following reports of an incident on the Hass Road area, Dungiven.

“NIAS tasked 1 Emergency Ambulance and the Charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board to the incident.

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was brought to Altnagelvin Hospital by Ambulance.”
