A man has been released by police after being questioned about the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell.
Mr Caldwell was shot several times in front of his son at a sports complex as he was packing up after coaching a youth football team in Omagh, Co Tyrone, on February 22 2023.
A 42-year-old man was questioned by police on Wednesday.

A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman said he had been released to be reported to the Public Prosecution Service.
“The investigation continues,” the spokesman added.
Several people have already been arrested and charged in relation to the shooting, which police linked to dissident republicans.
