Institute are expected to announce who their new manager will be later today.
The club’s committee met last night to decide who would succeed Paul Kee who departed the Riverside at the end of last season after failing to keep the Derry side in the Premiership.
Former Derry City captain, Kevin Deery, who led Trojans to the Intermediate title last season, and current Stute skipper, Paddy McLaughlin, are believed to be among the six candidates being considered for the job.
It had been thought the new manager would have been announced last night.
However, a statement issued by the club late last night said: “The committee have opened discussions on who'll be the next manager at the club. As of yet no decision has been made.”
It is thought the new appointment could be announced as early as lunchtime today.
