Two men due in court today in connection with attempted hijacking in Derry yesterday

Police have charged two men with attempted hijacking in connection with an incident in Derry yesterday morning.

A 21-year-old man was charged with a number of offences including criminal damage, assault on police and possession of a controlled drug.

An 18-year-old male has been charged with attempted hijacking.

Both men are due to appear before Derry Magistrates Court this morning.
