A new interactive map shows you about the rate of car crimes in your area over the past six months.

The map was built by Co-Op Insurance, who used crime data published by the Home Office between November 2016 to April 2017.

Users can enter their postcode and see recent vehicle crime nearby.

The colour-coded map plots recent crimes with areas experiencing high crime marked in red.

Medium crime is marked in orange, while yellow is for areas with two or fewer reported incidents.

Most areas in Northern Ireland apart from Belfast are marked in yellow, showing lower than 299 crimes in a wider area such as Derry - where there have been 132 car crimes in the past six months, according to the data.

There were 12 crimes each around the Shantallow and Steelstown areas.

There were also three crimes on the Letterkenny Road next to the junction with the Mullenan Road.
