Over the course of last week, Revenue officers examining parcels at a premises in Dublin seized cannabis with a combined estimated value of €1,694,000.

The seizure comprised of 82 kgs of herbal cannabis and 9 kgs of cannabis resin, and was seized over the span of a week, commencing last Tuesday on 15 April. The drugs were destined for addresses throughout Leinster.

The illicit drugs were discovered in parcels originating from Spain, and were found as a result of risk profiling, with the assistance of detector dog Milo.

These seizures are part of Revenue’s ongoing work targeting smuggling and shadow economy activity.
